To the present four surveys have been conducted for the Scanlon Foundation Social Cohesion Research Program. In 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011, national surveys of public opinion bearing on social cohesion, population and immigration issues were conducted. Surveys were also conducted in areas of immigrant concentration in Sydney and Melbourne in 2007 and 2009, and in Brisbane in 2007. These surveys, for the first time, provide the basis for comprehensive understanding of the trend of Australian public opinion. This site presents summary and detailed reports on survey findings.
