Australian Embassy in Rome

Role Description: On occasions when there is a public diplomacy event organized by the Embassy the intern may be asked to assist outside of core Embassy hours. Learning objectives and internship description Internships allow university students with an interest in Australia’s international relations to gain an insight into the work of the Embassy, and particularly of our Public Diplomacy, Political and Economic section. Tasks will involve assisting in the organization of public diplomacy events,undertaking research, note-taking at international meetings, drafting reports on political and economic developments in Italy, and assisting with social media. Interns will also be given an opportunity to observe other areas of operation at the Embassy, including the work of our consular and passport section.  We require applicants to have a high level of English and at least an intermediate level of Italian.
