Tom Segev Seminar meeting I : Who is a Colonialist?
In the first half of the twentieth century, millions of other Jews settled in Palestine and Israel. But most Jews of the world refused to accept that the survival of the Jewish people depended on Jewish statehood in Palestine. How did Ben-Gurion understand the relationship between Israel and the Diaspora? Tom Segev is an Israeli historian and retired journalist. His weekly column was published for thirty years in Haaretz, Israel’s leading daily newspaper. Segev's eight books on Israel, Zionism and the Holocaust have been published in 14 languages. His most recent book is A State at all Costs – The Story of David Ben-Gurion.
