Award for best PhD presentation at Monash’s SPS Graduate Research Symposium: Jess Burley
Congratulations to Jessica Burley who was awarded a ‘Best PhD presentation' at Monash's Social and Political Sciences Graduate Research Symposium on 24 October 2018.
Jess presented on her PhD research into evaluating what works in men's behaviour change programs, which were identified by the Royal Commission into Family Violence as crucial in family violence prevention.
Jess is a recipient of this year's Francine V McNiff PhD Scholarship in Criminology, and previously received an award for ‘Best PhD presentation' at the Victorian Postgraduate Criminology Conference on 22 June 2018. She commenced her PhD with Monash earlier this year, after completing her Bachelor of Arts at Monash with a double major in Criminology and Behavioural Studies, followed by a Masters in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Griffith University.
