Monash GFV's research has played a significant role in changing policy to better strengthen our legal responses to support and protect those affected by family violence, including legislative reform on criminal law.

Books

We have published and edited a number of books as a result of our research including the Handbook on Sexual ViolenceHomicide Law Reform, Gender and the Provocation Defence; and award-winning book The Political Economy of Violence Against Women.

Reports

Read our review of the Family Violence Risk Assessment Management Framework (CRAF); and research reports on: innovative legal responses to intimate partner homicide; police perspectives and experiences across Victoria; and temporary migration and family violence.

Policing research

Here is a collection of pivotal analyses on police responses to hate crime and partner violence, to more recent activities in gendering security, public space and surveillance.
