Literary and Cultural Studies

The Literary and Cultural Studies Graduate Research Program embraces the critical study of English-language, European and Asian literatures and cultures. It offers particular strengths in the diverse fields of transnationalism as well as both national and ‘world’ literatures; in cultural theory and history; and in digital as well as print cultures. In addition to doctoral research across the full spectrum of literary genres, critical movements and themes, the Literary and Cultural Studies Program houses two practice-based PhDs: Doctor of Philosophy (Creative Writing) and Doctor of Philosophy (Translation Studies). Graduate students in the LCS program publish the open access interdisciplinary journal Colloquy: text, theory, critique.
