Research & engagement
The School of Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics is one of the largest Schools in the Faculty of Arts. Our staff conduct award winning research in areas including literary and cultural studies; linguistics and applied linguistics; translation and interpreting; and tourism. We partner with world-leading institutions around the globe; our research has had wide and significant impacts on government policies across a range of sectors and supported the development of innovative technologies. Furthermore, our staff are actively engaged with the community and arts sectors, regularly organising and contributing to public forums.
