This show will bring together eight Indigenous artists to transform Blak Dot Gallery into an ethereal space, which will express our ongoing connection with sky country, in all its wisdom, beauty and mystery.

Focusing on Aboriginal peoples continuing connection with the night sky, the show will depict each artist’s connection with the cosmos.

The show has been inspired by Monash Country Lines Archive project, in which stories from the Dreaming have been transformed into animations. These animations link the oral method of storytelling, language reclamation, tradition and creation together.

This upcoming show will focus on the Taungurung tale Winjara Wiganhanyin (Why we all die), in which the moon looses his power to bring humans back from the dead.
