New Monash Academy of Performing Arts Orchestral Scholarship

This new scholarship has been introduced to support five incoming 1st-year students at the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music. Scholarships are for up to $2000 for a full-time study load (48 credit points) paid for a maximum of one year only. In addition to the monetary value of the scholarship, the recipients will be guaranteed a spot in the Monash Academy Orchestra.

Selection will be based on a combination of academic achievement and previous musical performance as determined by the School of Music, plus a performance at an interview/audition.

All applicants must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, or an International student. Applicants must also be a commencing music performance student in an undergraduate degree at the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music at a Monash campus in Australia.

Successful applicants must maintain satisfactory academic performance and participation in the Monash Academy Orchestra, as determined by the School of Music.

Scholarships cannot be deferred. Eligible students will be invited to an audition/interview by the School of Music and will be automatically assessed for this scholarship
