Monash's School of Media, Film and Journalism will be shining a spotlight on the workplace during the upcoming Creative Directions festival.
Creative Directions is a festival of ideas and industry know-how exploring critical issues shaping the nature of work in the contemporary media, cultural and communications industries. The festival will be held across two days at Monash's Caulfield campus.
How is the workplace changing? Does university really prepare you for work? How do you make the transition from graduate study to professional practice? Why is there still such a lack of diversity in the workforce and what are we doing about it? How do you have a global career? How different is the business in China? And what might the future hold for creative work?
Join guest speakers from the ABC, SBS, The Age, Crikey, Media Diversity Australia, Essential and more, including international speakers from the Chinese cultural industries, diving into the nitty gritty of what it means to make work and make a life in the media and cultural industries in 2017.
