Members of the Philosophy Department have been successful in winning funding from Monash's International Networks of Excellence (NoE) seed scheme.

Tim Bayne and Jakob Hohwy (both Philosophy), together with Nao Tsuchiya (Psychology) and Kavan Modi (Physics) were successful with a proposal for a major new network on ‘Causation and Complexity in the Conscious Brain’ ($160,000).

The international partners are world-leading philosophers, neuroscientists, and physicists from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, University College London, Nanyang Technical University, and New York University.
