Language and table top games: recent PhD completion

Catherine Cook has been awarded a doctorate for her fascinating thesis about Person Reference Across the Multiple Worlds of Table-Top Roleplaying Games.

That is the second part of the title of the thesis; the first part is much more fun and gives an idea of the problems Cat deals with in this thesis: I Rolled a One and I’m Dead.

One of the examiners' reports calls this the work of ‘a rising star' – congratulations Dr Cook! (The thesis is available via the Monash figshare repository)
