Metropolis 2018 satellite event: Liveable Diversity Summit

Following the Metropolis 2018 conference in Sydney this week that featured two MMIC panels on ‘Australia as a multicultural paradise: Myths and realities' a Metropolis satellite panel event ‘Liveable Diversity Summit' will take place in Melbourne on November 9, 2018. In partnership with The Victorian Government, Monash University Faculty of Arts, Settlement Services International, the Australian Multicultural Foundation, and the Immigration Museum, the Summit will kick off with Professor Steven Vertovec as the keynote speaker. Professor Vertovec is the Director of the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity in Germany. Following this keynote, a panel of experts from the International Metropolis Conference, will share experiences and best practices surrounding diversity with their senior Victorian counterparts in public policy, research and civil society.

The Monash Migration and Inclusion Centre (MMIC) is proud to support the Liveable Diversity Summit to be held at the Immigration Museum, Melbourne on Friday, November 9, from 9.30am -1.30pm. The summit will address questions related to migration, liveability and diversity.
