Congratulations to Professor Jakob Hohwy (Philosophy) in the School of Philosophical, Historical and International Studies who has been a successful co-applicant in the Monash Warwick Alliance Accelerator Fund Scheme.
Together with Antonio Verdejo-Garcia (Monash, Psychology), John Michael (Warwick, Philosophy), Lukasz Walasek (Warwick, Psychology), and Sakari Lemola (Warwick, Psychology), Prof. Hohwy has won $314,000 over three years for a project on “Social Networks among People with Borderline Personality Disorder”.
The amount of $154,000 comes to Monash mainly to fund a PhD scholarship.
The project will develop and test a novel theoretical approach to understanding and potentially treating the disturbances in interpersonal functioning that are characteristic of Borderline Personality Disorder.
The Accelerator Fund Scheme supports research groups who are working collaboratively on intermediate-sized projects that have the potential to achieve significant impact.
