Interplay of Arts Postgraduate Programs & Industry Engagement: Professor Justin O'Connor

Professor Justin O'Connor, Chair of Communications & Cultural Economy (Monash Media, Film & Journalism) will speak on the intersection between work in the classroom and engagement with industry, citing his industry research to demonstrate the connection between classroom study, research and real world experience.

Inspirational Graduate: Master of International Relations Alumnus Fahd Pahdepie

2016 Australian Award Young Alumni of the Year and Executive Director/CEO of Inspirasi, Fahd Pahdepie (Master of International Relations, 2016) will speak of how his Monash degree inspired him to achieve his personal and professional dreams. 

Inspirational Graduate: Tourism Graduate Anastasia Manuella

Anastasia Manuella, Secretariat to the Deputy of Destination Development and Tourism Industry, Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia will share her experience of the program and how it worked for her career.

Following the information sessions, Arts alumni and friends are also warmly invited to join a special Arts Alumni event, Monash Arts Global Alumni: Impact and Change in Indonesia, 6.15pm-7.30pm, Opal Room, Hotel Fairmont, Jakarta, Indonesia.

You'll have the chance to chat directly with Arts Alumni about their study experience with Monash University and their experience living in the vibrant multicultural city of Melbourne.

Hosted by the new Dean of Arts, the event features alumni speakers on their insights and experiences on ‘Impact and Change in Indonesia'. In a climate of division and increasingly polarised societies, they exemplify how we can create a positive narrative. We hope this event will inspire and encourage you, as you reconnect with old friends and meet new ones.


This day is part of  the Monash University Doctoral Program Information Event that offers prospective PhD students the opportunity to meet with leading Monash experts to find out more about the Monash Doctoral Program and how it can support students in career advancement or academic progression.
