Shifting Cultures, Changing Behaviours

Shifting Cultures, Changing Behaviours was the focus of a recent panel discussion around gendered violence on the Monash Clayton campus, part of the UN 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence response. With expertise from two of our key researchers, the panel for Monash University White Ribbon Breakfast addressed the complex realities of gender and family violence in the current Australian context.

The Monash Gender and Family Violence focus project aims to enhance women and children’s security by creating new knowledge about the risks of family violence and family violence homicides. In partnership with Government and NGOs, we are working towards building an evidence base for reforms aimed at effectively implementing a more risk sensitive approach to family violence and reducing the associated harms to women and children.
