Prof. Robert Sparrow features in Autonomous Weapons series

An article by Professor Robert Sparrow (Monash Philosophy) has been featured on the Humanitarian Law & Policy blog as part of a mini-series on Autonomous Weapons.

The blog is hosted by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and provides a forum for academics, practitioners, and other interested parties to discuss international humanitarian law and action.

Professor Sparrow’s post coincides with the first official discussions on autonomous weapons held at the United Nations in Geneva last week (13-17 November).

His article examines ethical and legal issues concerning new military technologies and emphasises the important role for public deliberation about these matters.
