Monash University - Caulfield Campus

The 2019 CIUTI conference will be held at the Monash University Caulfield campus, our second biggest campus, with more than 1,000 academics teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels to more than 17,000 domestic and international students.

The conference sessions, as well as the general assembly, will be held at Building B.

Caulfield campus has free WI-FI available. If you bring a portable device you will be able to download any available maps, if required.

Public Transport

The Caulfield campus is located 9 kilometers (6 miles) from the city of Melbourne, the campus is easily accessible by multiple train, tram and bus lines.

It is also accessible by car, but be aware that parking restrictions apply in the streets surrounding the campus. There is a user-pay multilevel carpark located nearby. For further information, please visit this website:

Buying a myki

Visa requirements

International participants are welcome to visit Australia and attend the 2019 CIUTI conference.

All attendees must comply with VISA requirements established by the Australian Government through its Home Affairs department. Please note, this is a mandatory requirement for anyone intending to visit Australia.

Important things to note:

  • Apply for your visa in advance to allow for variances in processing times.
  • Consider Australia’s health and character requirements, which you may have to meet as part of the visa application process.
  • Ensure you obtain a confirmation of your registration, or a letter of invitation, to attach to your visa application.
  • The CIUTI Conference organisers will be able to provide a letter of invitation, if needed.

Participants required to lodge paper-based visa applications should do so at the Australian visa office nearest to their current country of residence.

Accommodation

Conference participants will make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.

Melbourne is a popular destination for holiday travelers and business alike. We recommend booking a hotel well in advance prior to the conference.
